In honour of Hallowe'en and things that go bump in the night, theNewfoundland Paranormal Society will be hosting a night of ghost stories and spooky tales at the Crow's Nest on the lucky 13th of October. Have a true ghost story to share? Or know a legend from your home town? Come spook the crowd! Created in 2009, the Newfoundland Paranormal Society is made up of not-for-profit groups of investigators, private researchers, and paranormal enthusiasts dedicated to researching and documenting the paranormal history and events occurring in Newfoundland, Canada.
Anyone interested in cultivating the traditional art of Newfoundland storytelling is invited. Both experienced storytellers and newcomers are welcome. Just want to listen? Then come along! Every kind of story or recitation can be told as long as it's by word of mouth, rather than being read aloud.
The St. John's Storytelling Circle runs from 7:30-9:30 at the Crow's Nest Officer's Club, with opportunities for new storytellers to spin a yarn. The Crow's Nest is located off the public stairs at the east side of the War Memorial on Duckworth Street, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. (Map It)
